Let’s bridge the DNA divide.

Let’s bridge the DNA divide.

More than 26 million people have taken direct-to-consumer DNA tests, according to MIT’s Technology Review. And this number is expected to reach 100 million within the next two years.

These at-home tests can tell us incredible things — from why we hate cilantro to where we might find long-lost relatives. But they can also reveal concerning health information, often difficult for the everyday person to understand.

At-home DNA test companies have done a great service by democratizing access to genetic data. But now we need to democratize interpretation of that data, and we must do so in a responsible way. We need to provide people with an ally, who can replace confusion with clarity, who can guide the anxious and overwhelmed with compassion and expert insights. Each one of our genetic counselors is accredited through the American Board of Genetic Counseling and is trained in genetics, risk assessment, communication and counseling.

By fostering a high-touch relationship between test takers and counselors, DNA ALLY is closing the DNA results knowledge gap… so understanding your results becomes just as easy as getting them in the first place.
